The 2^nd International Symposium convening the private and public sectors was held in the District of Jaffna on 5^th of October Mr. N Vethanayahan, the Government Agent of the Jaffna District was the Chief Guest while the Director General of the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), Maj. Gen. L B R Mark was the Guest of Honor.  The programme was also graced by the attendance of the Deputy Ambassador of Japan  to Sri Lanka, Minister Asako Okai.  The half day event was attend byover 150 representatives of both private and public office from across the country as well as international delegates of A-PAD national platforms from Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
