A-PAD’s partner organization, GEA, is conducting needs assessments in La Guaira Province, an area severely impacted by the earthquake.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the risk of infectious diseases, including yellow fever and dengue fever, is currently high in the disaster-stricken areas due to a lack of medical facilities and deteriorating sanitary conditions, and a warning has been issued.
A-PAD will begin by distributing pandemic kits (hygiene products including masks, wet wipes, toothbrushes, and toilet paper) through GEA, and will continue to provide emergency support tailored to the needs of the affected areas.
