Emergency response for Typhoon Haiyan victims

On November 8, Typhoon Haiyan one of the most powerful typhoons on record, ripped through central Philippines and made landfall 6 times, bringing devastating winds and storm surges that uprooted trees, wiped off buildings and houses near the sea, crumpled tin roofs and upturned cars.
The typhoon left cities and towns in ruins, leaving people with no power and communication lines. Thousands of families living in risk areas have evacuated ahead of time. However, even evacuation centers were deluged by the strong winds and flash floods, leaving several people injured or dead.
Given the scale of the disaster, the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management has begun fundraising to support the relief efforts of its members on the ground. Please direct your donations to the following portals:
