Nepal Earthquake – Emergency and Relief Response

Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) continues to operate in Nepal assisting the needs of population affected by the earthquake with its regional member country representatives from Japan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Korea, Indonesia and the Philippines.

As per National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) of Nepal, it is reported that 7365 have been killed and 14355 injured as at 4th May 2015. Aid is trickling into the worst affected locations with limited access. Shelter and food remains top priority. Government of Nepal has exempted duty on tents and tarpaulin encouraging the import for easy accessibility for distribution.
