【A-PAD Indonesia】 Sumbawa Island Flood Emergency Assistance Report Now Available

In February 2024, a series of heavy rains flooded various parts of Sumbawa Island in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, forcing 6,278 people from 1,489 households to evacuate.
A-PAD Indonesia provided emergency assistance from February 23 to April 30 with support from the Japanese government, local companies, and other supports. In collaboration with Sumbawa, an organization that supports people with disabilities, A-PAD provided hygiene kits for women, cooking sets, and emergency food kits for 60 households, as well as supplies for 330 school kids so that children can return to school.
