On August 7 – 9, over 500mm of precipitation hit northeastern Jeollanam-do in South Korea. Gurye-gun in particular received tremendous damages from a series of flooded rivers and levee collapses. Many houses were swept away and a number of people lost their homes.

A-PAD Korea distributed emergency relief items to 1,000 households. The relief items included toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap) and cleaning supplies (detergent, towels, sponges) which were stored in case of emergency. Hot meals and bath services were also provided for the victims.
