On April 23, 2026, A-PAD Philippines and the Davao Chamber of Commerce hosted an event targeting local businesses in Davao.This event was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs FY2025 Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects.

The event featured educational sessions focused on strengthening MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise) resilience and climate change mitigation. Participants deepened their understanding of disaster risks while actively exchanging ideas on formulating business continuity strategies and taking climate action to mitigate global warming and enhance local resilience.

 

“Resilience is built during non-emergency times, and it is this continuous accumulation of effort that sustains a community during a crisis.” This event served as a valuable opportunity to reaffirm this mindset within the local business sector, fostering mutual learning and collaboration for the future. 

A-PAD Philippines will continue to work hand-in-hand with local residents and partner organizations to strengthen community disaster response capabilities.
