【2023 Turkey Earthquake Emergency Assistance】Blankets, Tents, Hygiene Kits, Toys Distributed
More than 50,000 people have died from the Turkey-Syria earthquake on February 6.
For more than a week after the disaster, A-PAD’s partner organization in Turkey, GEA, conducted search and rescue operations in 118 locations across Adana, Iskenderun, and Antakya in Hatay Province and rescued a total of 41 survivors. After the search and rescue operations, GEA also worked with the Governor of Iskenderun District to distribute 3,739 large tents and 1,500 individual tents in the evacuation areas.
In addition, the following supplies were distributed based on needs assessments. A-PAD continues supporting those affected by this tragic disaster.
