Umut Dinçşahin, CEO of GEA, a Turkish search and rescue organization visited the A-PAD Tokyo office on June 1, 2026. GEA and A-PAD has a partnership agreement.

During the visit, Dinçşahin highlighted GEA’s search and rescue operations after the Myanmar earthquake in March 2025. One of the major achievements highlighted was the rescue of survivors more than four days after the earthquake, despite the challenging working conditions.

A-PAD and GEA discussed their joint efforts including the pandemic kit project, which compiles hygiene supplies and other relief items needed during evacuation. They highlighted that being prepared during non-emergency time is a critical step that will be useful in emergencies.

GEA and A-PAD will continue working together for further collaboration to prepare for future disasters.
