On March 10, 2023  various awareness programs were organized across in conjunction with the country marking Disaster Preparedness Day on in Bangladesh.

A-PAD’s partner, CIS, participated in events organized by local governments across eight districts that were also participated by over 1,000 people. Government and UN agencies, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society/Red Cross,

CIS and its partners, NGOs, fire departments, security personnels all came together for the training. Disaster response simulation training was conducted with first responders and volunteers.

Although the event itself is sponsored by the local government, CIS participated as a cooperating organization and as part of the activities funded by Japanese ODA (Official Development Assistance) programming for NGOs.
