【Philippines Earthquake】 Now Accepting Donations

On September 30, 2025, at 9:59 PM (10:59 PM Japan time), a Magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck off the northern coast of Bogo City on Cebu Island in the Central Philippines. The earthquake had a depth of approximately 10 kilometers and reached a maximum seismic intensity of 7, causing severe shaking across a wide area, including Bogo City.
As of October 1, 2025, the confirmed casualties include 26 deaths and 147 injuries. Numerous buildings, such as sports arenas and churches, have collapsed. Concerns also remain regarding aftershocks and subsequent damage.
The Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) began gathering information immediately after the disaster. According to A-PAD Philippines, as of October 1, the affected regions reported are Central Visayas, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, parts of Bicol Region, Caraga, and the Zamboanga Peninsula.
A-PAD Philippines is coordinating and gathering information for emergency assistance in collaboration with local partners, including the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the University of Cebu, the Civil Defense Office, and the Central Visayas Department of Health.
