On May 31, 2023, A-PAD Indonesia held a ceremony to present a certificate of appreciation to the Jakarta Japan Club (JJC).

In the areas affected by the November 2022 Cianjur Earthquake, A-PAD Indonesia provided emergency relief assistance including clean water to unreached areas. For these activities, A-PAD received IDR 586,000,000 (approximately JPY5.5 million) from 42 JJC member companies.

Mr. Masanori Ogura, Executive Director of JJC, said, “Three months have passed since the disaster and while many relief organizations have left the affected areas, A-PAD Indonesia has continued providing meaningful assistance with a strong emphasis on reconstruction. In particular, their support includes new jobs for small business owners and female-led businesses and permanent, rather than temporary, public water systems. For those who lost their loved ones in the disaster, I feel that this support is extremely important in helping them find even a little bit of hope for the future and put their livelihood foundations on a path toward self-reliant recovery and growth.”
