Once month has passed since Typhoon Goni brought heavy damage across the Bicol region in Luzon, Philippines. A-PAD Philippines is fundraising and providing relief assistance with the Bicol regional platform, businesses, local NGOs, and other assistance networks.

1.5 million pesos (approximately 3.5 million yen) have been raised in the past months. With this support, A-PAD provided food packs and cheques for 2,300 households in eight villages in Albay and Camarines Sur Provinces.

 A-PAD disbursed 1 million yen (approximately USD9,600) in emergency funding. Part of the funding was used to deliver food packs with rice and canned foods to 600 households.

A-PAD and A-PAD Philippines continue working with the regional platform and are providing relief assistance.
