On the same day, a Hayabusa ambulance and a helicopter were also in operation to transport rescued people.
The next day, on November 9, a training debrief was held. Medical teams from Taiwan and the Philippines, A-PAD, and ARROWS staff, including Dr. Inaba, participated.
They shared their observations including issues such as language barriers and collaboration with other medical teams during the three-day training.
This training provided an opportunity to reflect on and learn from past experiences to prepare for real disasters. Furthermore, it was a valuable opportunity to learn about the diverse approaches to disaster response and preparedness that can be achieved through collaboration between various organizations both locally and internationally.
A-PAD will continue to utilize the experience and lessons learned from this training to respond to disasters as quickly as possible to save as many lives as possible.
