Community Initiative Society (CIS), the managing body of A-PAD Bangladesh, officially became a regular member of the Japan Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JBCCI) in July 2025.

An orientation program to welcome the new members was held at the JBCCI office in Dhaka on July 27, where a comprehensive introduction to JBCCI’s mission, values, organizational structure, and policies was provided.

Representative members including JBCCI Director AKM Ahmedul Islam Babu, Secretary General Tahera Afsan, and Kenji Kimura (General Manager of MUFG Bank Dhaka Office) attended the program and extended a warm welcome to the new members. Also in attendance was Shama Ali, Senior Assistant Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager of the Japan Desk at Prime Bank.

In addition to CIS, four other organizations—Toyota Auto Advance, Shan Sabil (BD) Ltd., and Superstar—were officially welcomed as new members of JBCCI.

As a member of JBCCI, CIS will make further efforts to contribute to business development and regional advancement in both Japan and Bangladesh.
