A BCP is a plan to prepare measures to continue important operations and ensure survival even in the event of a crisis such as a terrorist attack, natural disaster, or system failure. In the Philippines, a disaster-prone country, A-PAD Philippines is working hard to reduce disaster risks and build an emergency support network in cooperation with local companies, government, and civic groups. The BCP Trainer’s Training is part of this effort, and aims to strengthen the resilience of the business sector.

The purpose of this training was to develop trainers who will be responsible for BCP training for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It provided an opportunity to learn the knowledge and skills necessary to consider resilience plans for SMEs, who tend to be slow to adopt measures in emergencies.

For over two years, BCP trainer’s training has been conducted mainly for A-PAD Philippines staff and university professors, but is now also being conducted for representatives selected from regional chambers of commerce, local governments, and universities. The aim is to improve the effectiveness of BCP training by combining the experience and expertise of each field with this training. After this, it is expected that the trainers will broaden their knowledge by conducting training for companies in their respective regions.
