As natural disasters become more frequent and complex in the Asia-Pacific region, the need for stronger partnerships between nations has never been more urgent.

In a significant step towards enhancing regional disaster resilience, the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) and Taskforce Kiwi (TF Kiwi) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), committing to a shared goal of strengthening disaster response and recovery.

This international partnership aims to leverage the combined expertise and networks of A-PAD and TF Kiwi. The MOU establishes a comprehensive partnership aimed at tackling key challenges in disaster response and resilience. Central to the agreement is a commitment by A-PAD and TF Kiwi to provide mutual aid during humanitarian operations, addressing critical gaps in times of crisis. Additional support areas include training, capacity building, and the sharing of knowledge and resources.
