【A-PAD Philippines】 Emergency Assistance for Typhoon in Bicol Region
2024.10.24
Typhoon Charmy struck the Philippines on October 22, causing a series of large-scale floods. On October 23, the government closed public schools and other institutions across Luzon, including the capital Manila. So far, 14 people have been confirmed dead, and nearly 200,000 people have been forced to evacuate, and the impact is expected to increase. The Philippines had recently suffered from Typhoon Yagi in September, and urgent assistance is needed in the face of another major disaster.
A-PAD Philippines has begun providing emergency assistance to the Bicol region in southern Luzon. The head of A-PAD Philippines, Gilbert Albero, is playing a central role and in collaboration with volunteers and the local chamber of commerce, the team has started running soup kitchens and distributing relief supplies.
Thank you for your continuous support.
