【A-PAD Philippines】 Medical Equipment Donated to Healthcare Providers Workshops
2024.06.27
A-PAD Philippines has been collaborating with local businesses, governments, and civil society organizations to provide emergency relief and disaster risk reduction activities. A-PAD has built two Regional Platforms (RP) and has continued to provide training to strengthen resilience for volunteers, medical workers, and staff at small and medium-sized enterprises.
As part of these efforts, a handover ceremony for medical equipment was held on June 18 at the Philippine Medical Association in Manila. The ceremony was attended by directors of the Philippine Medical Association, representatives of A-PAD Philippines, and Ms. Tokiko Nishimura, secretary of the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines.
A-PAD Philippines aims to strengthen the capacity of human resource volunteer networks as part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Japan NGO Collaborative Grant Aid Project, and conducts training for people involved in medical care, especially during emergencies.
At this handover ceremony, A-PAD donated AEDs, laryngoscopes, medical tents, and other items.
