A-PAD Sri Lanka held a seminar in May on the theme of strengthening corporate resilience in Jaffna in northern Sri Lanka, one of the regions most vulnerable to disasters. 30 people from local companies participated, and they discussed how companies should strengthen their resilience in order to recover and rebuild after a disaster.

The participants learned about the role of governance in dealing with disasters, the need to stay up-to-date on current regulations and policies required by law, and highlighted how to incorporate disaster preparedness into business strategies.
