Upon request from Kalutara District in Western Province which suffered extensive damage from the disaster, A-PAD Sri Lanka began assistance activities soon after the onset of the disaster. Working with the Ministry of Disaster Management, A-PAD Sri Lanka shared information with the other A-PAD members and installed temporary evacuation centers for rescue workers and evacuees with a large online lodging company, Airbnb. In collaboration with a major supermarket, Cargills Food City, A-PAD Sri Lanka also delivered 250 bags of emergency relief items including food and drinks on October 16.73200476_2397335397147292_8698776064077332480_o
