In order to foster mutual understanding between regional countries on disaster and provide the parliament members an exchange experience, map out next steps and strengthen parliamentary cooperation, leaders of parliament members from Asia Pacific will gather at a forum to take place in Tokyo Japan, August 2016.

Hon. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Minister of Disaster Management, Sri Lanka was formally invited to attend this forum by Ms. Megumi Kuwana, Management Office A-PAD Tokyo, Japan during her visit to Sri Lanka, to which the minister favorably responded and confirmed his participation at a meeting held at his residence.
