On April 18-20, A-PAD Philippines, in collaboration with the Philippines Medical Association and Psychiatric Association, hosted a training on mental health and psychosocial support. The training was attended by over 30 participants. 

 

The training brought together stakeholders from various sectors involved in disaster response from all over the country. Multi-sectoral collaboration is essential to enhance the resilience of affected communities. This was a great opportunity to dissect what each sector does during emergencies. Mr. Akito Kinoshita, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, observed the training.

Training on basic life-saving measures such as CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) was also provided jointly by the Philippines Medical Association and the Philippines Red Cross.
