A-PAD Philippines participated in the 100th year anniversary event of the Davao Japanese Community from October 4-6, 2019.

At the Japan Mindanao Seminar held on the 5th, A-PAD Philippines’ Ms. Melissa Lavente-Correa from the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) discussed the significance of multi-sectoral collaboration and A-PAD’s role in disaster assistance. She also introduced the regional platforms that A-PAD Philippines launched around the country. Along with panelists from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Ms. Lavente-Correa discussed assistance activities at the onset of disasters.

 

At their exhibition stand, A-PAD Philippines not only introduced its activities to the visitors but also promoted disaster prevention awareness and risk reduction.
