Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management began gathering information on December 3, 2014 regarding Typhoon Hagupit possibly heading towards the vicinity of the Philippines. Through close communication with Philippine representative Citizens’ Disaster Response Center, the MO decided to deploy in advance its team to Cebu on December 5th. They will be accompanied by CEO Kensuke Onishi and in cooperation with CDRC will assess the situation on the ground and prepare for emergency response if necessary.
