【Typhoon Mangkhut in the Philippines】 Rescue and Relief Team Dispatched

A-PAD and PWJ decided to dispatch a team of rescue, medical and relief coordinators to the Philippines in advance of the super typhoon Mangkhut (local name as Ompong), which is expected to hit the islands of Luzon and Visays as early as the evening of September 14.
The ten members of dispatched team led by A-PAD COO Kaori Neki include A-PAD program coorinator Midori Yajima, two K9 team members with two rescue dogs, two doctors, and four PWJ rescue and relief coordinators.
A-PAD MO has been in communication with A-PAD’s Philippine representatives of Citizen’s Disaster Response Center (CDRC) and The Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) to assess the situation in the country. The dispatched team will continue to do so on the ground and prepare for the emergency response if necessary through collaboration with the two organizations in the Philippines.
