It has been 10 days since the disaster and the affected population’s needs are rapidly changing. A-PAD has been working on grasping the needs on the ground, from the first stages of conducting search and rescue missions to implementing emergency relief assistance through food distributions.

While it is relatively easy for the government and international aid organizations to support the urban areas, A-PAD’s team has been the first to reach the most affected regions outside of Kathmandu up in the mountains where the damage from the disaster has been most severe.
