On December 15, 2021, A-PAD’s liaison office hosted an online event to introduce A-PAD’s work in Nepal. The twenty-three participants included the Government of Nepal, partner organizations, and A-PAD offices in Japan, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.

A-PAD’s director, Firzan Hashim, opened the event by introducing A-PAD’s history and project in Nepal followed by remarks from representatives from the Japanese Embassy in Nepal, Social Welfare Council, and Ministry of Home Affairs. A-PAD’s country coordinator for Nepal then explained the project in detail. Questions from the press included the implementation process and sustainability. The project was launched with a long-term strategy and aims to establish a national platform to cover all regions in Nepal.
