Forum on Developing A Disaster Management System Towards A New Platform Set in Cebu

The Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC) and its regional center Cebu-Bohol Relief and Rehabilitation Center, Inc. (CRRC) in partnership with The Rotary Club 3860, co-sponsored a workshop forum with the theme “Enhancing Human Resource Capital on Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.” The forum that was held last Oct 2-3, 2015 aimed to develop a shared understanding of concept, approach and methods of disaster risk reduction and management; explore, promote, and develop possibilities of public-private-partnership in disaster risk reduction learn best practices in private sector engagements in DRR.

This effort is  part of the overall initiative in creating a Philippine platform  under the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management where various collaborations are forged  and multi-stakeholders efforts are harmonized for the purpose of delivering effective and efficient disaster assistance through disaster preparedness, risk reduction, relief and recovery.
